What issue area are you most passionate about and Why? (Immigration, environment, woman’s rights, mental health, LGBTQ rights, etc.):
I am and always have been passionate about the Black Lives Matter movement and racial injustice in America. Black people all over America have faced racism at some point in their lives by fellow Americans and even the justice system. There is nothing more sickening than to see the same people who claim that there is "Liberty and justice for all" go and murder an unarmed black man or woman and be protected by a corrupt justice system. Even with protests and killings and speaking out on social media, voices are not being heard and people are still being manipulated and acting blind, pretending like this country we live in isn't built on racism and oppression. America needs to start loving black people as much as they love black culture.
What activities do like to do regularly as a pastime?
In my free time I like to be creative. My hobbies include scrapbooking, painting making jewelry, reading. Besides arts and crafts, the beach is a place I will never get tired and try to go there any chance i get.
What clubs/organizations/sports/job are you involved with outside of youth making change?
During my Freshman year of high school I played lacrosse. The season was cut short due to the current pandemic, but I am planning to try out once the school year begins again. I also used to volunteer at St Raphael's Catholic Church. There I would assist the Catechism classes held over the weekend.
