What issue area are you most passionate about? Which do you know the most about? (Immigration, environment, woman’s rights, mental health, LGBTQ rights, etc.):
The issue areas that I am most passionate about are equality for POC, LGBTQ, and women in society. To explain this in better detail, I’d like to work on fixing the injustice happening to these communities such as less pay in jobs, lower acceptance rates for certain races in schools and colleges, and stereotypes. I hope I find ways to help give everyone equal opportunities and change the views of people. Sometimes people need proper education to understand others and what they’re going through. I believe that this education can first start at a young age since racism stems even as a child. These discussions should include race and sexuality and help them understand that it’s normal and not something to be disgusted or upset about. Lastly, I believe instead of victim-blaming and teaching young girls practically to “stop getting raped,” because of what they’re wearing or how they’re acting, everyone should be taught to respect one another and boys should be reprimanded instead of having girls have a strict dress code and blaming it on the fact that they’re ‘distracting boys.’
What activities do like to do regularly as a pastime?
My hobbies/activities include listening to music, cruising around on my longboard, learning guitar and piano, and playing video games. I engage in these activities at least once a week and love them all!
