Ralph Ybarra was born and raised in Santa Maria, California. Ralph graduated from Santa Maria High School in 1995 and attended Antioch University, Santa Barbara, graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts. Ralph has a beautiful family, wife Michelle, and two boys, Travis and Lawson. His family enjoys taking trips to Cambria, movie nights and exercising. Ralph is currently the Program Manager at Community Action Commission of Santa Barbara County (CACSB) and has worked there for over 16 years. CACSB creates opportunities for Santa Barbara County families to achieve stability. Ralph provides management for the North County Region; a coach, mentors, supervises and trains staff. Ralph plays a key role at CAC in that he functions as a liaison and information conduit between Program Leadership, staff and community collaborators. Ralph plays key roles on the Childcare Planning Council, ECE SB Leadership Committee, and runs the CAC Toys for Tots Program along side fellow CAC manager, Maggie Suarez. Ralph recently completed the Emerging Leaders Program through leading from within; developing the next generation of nonprofit leaders in Santa Barbara county.Ralph has worked in the early childhood field for 20 years and is passionate about the emotional, social, and physical development of young children. Ralph is immersed in the early childhood field and is an advocate for children and young people.
